Banca Intesa has been granted exclusivity in its negotiations for the acquisition of 75% plus one share of the share capital of Delta Banka A.D. Beograd by the latter’s shareholders.

Any development in negotiations will be duly disclosed.

Delta Banka is a leading bank in Serbia and Montenegro in terms of total assets and deposits: as at 30^th September 2004 it recorded approximately €700 million total assets, €550 million customer deposits, €350 million customer loans and €90 million shareholders’ equity. Its network of 144 branches serves over 400,000 customers.
