Professional development and Internal Job Market The extension of scope of the On Air platform continued, as it is now available to all employees in Italy. The platform promotes employees’ motivation through a structured process of declaration of their experiences and skills and self-candidacy for growth and professional development.
The support for our employees’ motivation and development is the most important feature of On Air, a real "place of stories" where everyone can highlight "What I did, what I can do, what I'd like to do", thus indicating their knowledge, experiences, motivations and aspirations. On Air allows: - constant dialogue with the company about their experiences, aspirations and motivations;
- undertaking of a development process aimed at expanding and strengthening one's skills while tackling change;
- seizing new professional opportunities for old and new professions;
- supporting the growth of managerial skills both for future leaders and for those that are already in charge.
On Air has 2 sections where one can talk about him/herself:
- Professional ID Card, that enriches one’s professional profile by mapping the specialist knowledge related to one’s role or scope and including information on experiences and skills acquired in different business contexts or outside working environment;
- I apply, where one can express his/her’s motivation to start a path for new professional opportunities in the Group.
2017 saw over 19,000 candidates and assessments for over 800 employees.
Another way to promote professional development is Job Posting, which offers all employees the opportunity to propose for vacant positions in the various Group companies; in 2017, 750 applications were received. As part of development of talents and leadership and strengthening of motivation and sense of belonging, in 2017 the International Talent Program was launched. Dedicated to the Group's internal talents, the project proposes custom made paths during 3 to 5 years featuring an interdivisional, interfunctional and international dimension. The participants get involved in a specialized managerial training, finalizing project work related to Group businesses, and in international on-the job training events. Every Talent person has a dedicated sponsorship program with the direct involvement of the Group's senior managers. The selection process involved more than 1,000 employees, leading to the identification of over 100 Talents; the beginning of 2018 saw the first job rotations coming into force. Additional recruiting formats have been created for the recruitment and selection of young talents. Make it Real is the brand with which Intesa Sanpaolo has approached the millennials proposing them business games with the support of tutors and internal managers. The project brought to the inclusion of the best talents in the company.
