Our environmental policies Intesa Sanpaolo translates its commitment into various environmental policies that outline the strategic and operational areas within which our Group carries out its initiatives to protect the environment and reduce its carbon footprint. All the policies have been drawn up with particular attention to the inclusion of blind and visually impaired persons, following the rules of accessibility certified by LIA Foundation (Libri Italiani Accessibili - Italian accessible books). The Rules for the environmental and energy policy (PDF - 264 KB), adopted by the Management Board in 2007 and updated in 2014, define the principles and guidelines concerning the environment and direct / indirect impacts generated by its activities The basic principles upon which our environmental policy is founded are the reduction of waste, progressive improvement of energy efficiency and performances, attention to the environmental and social consequences of our decisions. In addition to guaranteeing full and total compliance with legislative provisions for the protection of the environment, we aim to identify innovative and effective solutions in this field, to apply the best environmental standards and to promote and develop the concept of environmental responsibility, with a renewed commitment to translating the international standards to which we have adhered into concrete actions.

| The Rules governing the organisation of communication events and training courses (PDF - 214 KB) sets out the criteria and rules for improving the environmental sustainability of internal and external communications events and training courses. The criteria are considered in all stages of any event, that is the preparatory and promotional stages, the organisation and running of the event (means of transport, the nature of the location providing accommodation, the catering facilities and event displays, the dismounting site and departing.

| The Sustainability rules for the setting up of sustainable branches (PDF - 245 KB) define the minimum criteria to be pursued in the setting up of new branches or renovation of existing ones. They also defined the criteria for the realization of the so-called "Nearly 0 energy Branches" (the branch of Venice Marghera is the first example).
