Intesa Sanpaolo was assigned 64th position (first Italian company) in the ranking which includes the 200 companies that stood out for their commitment towards "gender equality". The list has been drawn up by EQUILEAP - organisation aiming to accelerate progress towards gender equality in the workplace- through a research which involved 3,048 company in 23 countries. The analysis covered four fields of investigation: Gender Balance in Leadership and Workforce; Equal Compensation and Work / Life Balance; Policies Promoting Gender Equality; Commitment to Women's Empowerment.
In the the 2017 edition of the AIFIn "Financial Innovation - Italian Award" Intesa Sanpaolo was awarded in the category Operations, Organizzazione, IT for "Data Technology Office, organizzazione e nuove competenze" project implemented by Intesa Sanpaolo Group Services. Mentions of Merit were assigned to the Bank for the projects "Canali Distributivi e Customer Experience", "Nuovi servizi imprese" e "Marketing".
For its sustainability performances Intesa Sanpaolo received the Robeco SAM Bronze Class Sustainability Award 2017. Robeco SAM is the company that every year evaluates enterprises for their inclusion in Dow Jones Sustainability Indices.
Intesa Sanpaolo was assigned 20th position in the Global 100 ranking, which includes the top 100 sustainable companies in the world. It's the only Italian banking group in the ranking. The list drawn up by Corporate Knights, Canadian magazine specialised in clean capitalism, selects top corporations that have developed the best strategies to manage risks and opportunities in the environmental, social and governance fields.
