The finals of the National Award for Innovation 2010 will be held in Palermo

Our bank is the main sponsor of the event, in the framework of project Intesa Sanpaolo Start-Up Initiative. The finals of the National Award for 2010 (PNI) will be held at the University of Palermo on Friday, 3rd December. Sixty entrepreneurial projects in the most diverse sectors will face comparison, ranging from ICT to biomedical projects, from material-centred technologies to renewable energies. Participating companies have been selected from the 786 ideas presented during the 16 national Start Cups, specifically the Business Plan Competitions organised by universities and research centres, and coordinated by Associazione PNI Cube.
Intesa Sanpaolo is the main sponsor of this initiative during which the bank will reward the best innovative corporate project.
Livio Scalvini, Innovation and Marketing Service Manager for the Corporate and Investment Banking Division, will represent our bank at the round table conference.
Intesa Sanpaolo will also attend the event with a stand designed to highlight support offered to research and innovation by the Group.
Milan is the capital city of innovation: the 4th "Innovation Festival" is about to start

"Innovation Festival", a European event dedicated to the world of technological innovation, will be held in Milan.
Participation is free of charge and open to all.
The objective of the festival is to highlight the role of technological change in view of improving quality of life, increasing competitiveness of the economic system, and stimulating creative activities. Intesa Sanpaolo which has, by tradition, backed innovative companies to encourage their development programmes, is sponsoring the event with the contribution of Mediocredito Italiano, a company specialised in SMEs development.
The programme includes meetings, conferences, shows and workshops for schools. These initiatives will be held in symbolic places in the city centre, namely Loggia dei Mercanti, Palazzo Giureconsulti, Piazza and Via Mercanti.
The workshop dedicated to the banking world and entitled "Financial solutions, projects, initiatives to promote the creation of enterprises" will be held on Monday, 11th October, from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm at the Events Area of Loggia dei Mercanti.

EMO Milano was organised by CECIMO (European Committee for Cooperation between Machine Tool Industries). This biennial international exhibition documents developments in both the world of EMO Milano and in the metal processing framework by offering constructors and users a meeting venue to compare notes and define increasingly advanced technical solutions.
