International Arab Banking Summit 2011 - The future of MENA: Impact on the Global Economy
From 23 to 24 June 2011, at Hotel Rome Cavalieri Hilton, in Rome Italy.
The event, hosted by the Union of Arab Banks and Associazione Bancaria Italiana, will take place in Rome on June 23 and 24 at the Hotel Rome Cavalieri. The Summit will put together top representatives of the Arab banking and financial community, and decisionmakers of countries of the area and of Italy, with the aim of discussing about the MENA region within the global economic framework. The Intesa Sanpaolo Group, which sponsors the event, will be represented by Mr. Marcello Sala, Executive Vice Chairman of the Management Board, who will intervene on June 23 as a discussant of the Panel Session on “The EU-MENA Economic and Investment Relations Development Amidst the Political Instability”. Intesa Sanpaolo is sponsoring the Italo-Russian Forum “Public-Private Partnership for Energy Efficiency and Development of Renewable Energy”
The Forum will be held at Palazzo della Gran Guardia, Verona, on 7 - 8 October.
The bilateral Italo-Russian forum is organised by Associazione Conoscere Eurasia, under the sponsorship of the Italian Council of Ministers, with the support of the Russian Senate (the Federation Council). The Russian Federation has scheduled massive future investments on innovative projects in the energy saving and renewable energy sources frameworks, besides planning on implementing provisions to fight the climate change. In years to come, ‘green economy’ will be one of the leading strategic areas for industrial, economic and social development.
Trento Festival of Economics

Once again Intesa Sanpaolo partnered the Festival of Economics on the theme "Identity and global crisis" with a five-day schedule of sessions open to the public to enlarge on key economic issues. Its simple, popular approach made the event accessible to the public at large. The event envisaged the participation of Nobel Prize winners James Heckman and George Akerlof, Prof. Roland J. Benabou, Princeton University, and Prof. Andrea Prat from the London School of Economics, besides entrepreneurs and managers, including Diego Della Valle and Vittorio Colao. In the event’s framework, Banca di Trento e Bolzano - the local bank and member of Intesa Sanpaolo Group - organised a workshop on the theme "Transborder economies and financial crisis" (Sunday, 31st May, 04.30 pm, Palazzo Bassetti). The bank will also participate in the event with a stand in Piazza del Duomo in Milan.
Forum PA 2009: recovering efficiency through ideas

The Intesa Sanpaolo Group attended Forum PA once again. It was a chance for those who operate in and for public administration to meet and elaborate on this sector.
