Banca dei Territori

The domestic business is concentrated in the "Banca dei Territori", which comprises: 5,353 branches dedicated to 10.9 million retail customers; 177 branches (Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking included) dedicated to 73,000 private customers; 337 branches (Mediocredito Italiano included) dedicated to 112,000 SME customers; 52 branches of Banca Prossima, the bank of the Group servicing approximately 50,000 non-profit entities, the first in Europe fully dedicated to the social and non-profit sector; platform for direct channels; bancassurance, with: -EurizonVita, one of the leading life insurance companies in Italy; -EurizonTutela, controlled by EurizonVita, active in the property-casualty business with products mainly focused on personal protection and the protection of personal assets; -Intesa Vita, a joint venture with the Generali Group operating in the life insurance business (company not subject to full consolidation, but carried at equity); -Sud Polo Vita, a company operating in the life insurance business resulting from the joint expertise of EurizonVita and Intesa Vita; -Centrovita Assicurazioni, operating in the life insurance business. The model provides for the assignment of a single brand to each specific geographical area, in order to best meet the needs for specialisation of service, while recognising and protecting local characteristics. The resulting organisational structure features an extremely light chain of command, able to promote immediate interaction between the General Management and the area managers ("Banchieri del Territorio").

Corporate and Investment Banking

In the corporate and investment banking activity, Intesa Sanpaolo is a major player with 56 centres dedicated to 19,000 corporate clients. With Banca IMI, the Group is the benchmark Italian operator in investment banking, in particular in structured finance and project & acquisition finance, and in capital markets, reaching a critical mass in market making activities. On the international level, Intesa Sanpaolo is present in 34 countries through a specialist network to facilitate the cross-border activities of its customers made up of branches, representative offices and subsidiaries focused on corporate banking. Intesa Sanpaolo manages relationships with a network of approximately 4,000 correspondent banks.

International Subsidiary Banks

The Group has a selected presence in the countries of Central-Eastern Europe and in the Mediterranean basin, with 8.5 million customers in 13 countries, through approximately 1,900 branches.

Public Finance

Intesa Sanpaolo is the leading specialist operator in Italy, with a domestic network of 18 dedicated branches and a branch in London, with 42 billion euro in customer loans and with significant business activity in the investment and placing of financial instruments issued by public entities on the domestic and international markets.

Eurizon Capital, the leading company in Italy with 135 billion euro of assets under management.

Banca Fideuram

Banca Fideuram, leader in Italy in the sector of financial advisors with 4,309 private bankers and 97 domestic branches.
